Discovering My Passion for Electronics: A Personal Quest at the Age of 8
Being an 8 year Old Boy Discovered his interest in Electronics. How it went?
It feels like just yesterday when my young, curious mind pondered, "How does a TV know to change channels with the press of a button?" I was a restless, high-energy 8-year-old on summer break, and my boredom led me to explore the inner workings of the TV remote.
In a moment of youthful recklessness, I intentionally shattered the remote, sending it bouncing off the floor. The sound caught my mom's attention, and her screams signalled impending trouble, a story for another day.
Amid the broken plastic and scattered components, I discovered a world of miniature spaceships and alien-like structures – "Electronic components." Thus began my quest to understand how these components functioned.
"At the age of 11, my stepdad, an Electronics engineer, introduced me to Ohm's law from his University's Engineering Book collections."
From that day forward, I committed to learning electronics with a single dream (at that time): to build my own TV remote from scratch, one that exclusively tuned into kids' channels like "Cartoon Network" and "PoGo". No more sharing the TV with my parents and their news channels each evening at Dinner time.
This was the beginning of a lifelong fascination with the world of electronics.
As I delved deeper into my electronic adventures in the years forward, I began to document my journey, capturing moments of disassembled laptops, which I successfully reassembled to full functionality. These photos served as a testament to my growing expertise and fueled my passion for technology.
Each project I undertook was a step closer to my childhood dream – the dream of creating my own devices and gadgets.
Today, years later, I look back on that shattered TV remote as the catalyst for a journey that shaped my Professional life. It's amazing how a moment of curiosity and a little recklessness can lead to a life-long passion.
My fascination with electronics has taken me on an incredible journey, one that continues to evolve and inspire me every day!
The lesson I learnt: No matter the situation always be curious enough to try crazy things even on the unfamiliar Subject. You might never know where the adventure might take you!
